Meet Shaletha Richard:
Shaletha Richard is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting the mental and emotional growth of children, adolescents, adults, and families. Building a strong academic foundation for her work in youth and family mental health.
Shaletha has specialized training and hands-on clinical experience, Shaletha focuses on working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and family conflict. She is passionate about helping young
clients build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and create stronger relationships at home and school. Her work includes individual counseling, parent collaboration, group therapy, and age-appropriate play therapy techniques to help children express and process emotions safely.
In addition to her youth-focused services, Shaletha provides compassionate counseling for adults seeking support with anxiety and mood disorders, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, major life transitions, grief, and infertility-related emotional distress. She is dedicated to helping adults strengthen emotional wellness, improve coping skills, and build healthier relationships. Shaletha strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients of all ages feel safe, supported, and empowered to begin their healing journey and work toward lasting mental health wellness.

Shaletha is married to Jonathan Richard, who is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and supports her counseling services on an as-needed basis. Together, they create a professional and collaborative environment to foster growth, healing, and well-being for children, adolescents, adults, and families they serve.
Jonathan's Background
Jonathan is a licensed therapist but spends most of his time in youth and campus ministry in the Columbia area.
Jonathan uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches facilitate psychological flexibility, identifying and challenging unhealthy thought patterns, and strengthening emotional bonds.
